ICPIC has decided to expand its current New Africa Center / Muslim American Museum & Archive with the long term gaol of revitalizing and transforming the 4200 block of Lancaster Avenue's commercial corridor, by providing a "Mix Use", Multi-purpose facility that will serve as an anchor for future developments on Lancaster Avenue

On May 25 of this year founder and Chief Executive Officer Abdul-Rahim Muhammad received a Resolution Citation from The Philadelphia City Council from Council- woman Jamie Gauthier acknowledging the many community programs and outreach provided by the New Africa Center.

- The Islamic Cultural Preservation and Information Council - New Africa Center CDC is a 5011C# nonprofit coalition of university scholars, educators, multi-disciplinary artist, parents and individuals striving to preserve, protect and elevate our cultural heritage of Islam in America. We are not a proselytizing organization; our purpose is to provide forums for the academic study and artistic expression of traditional and contemporary Islamic arts, culture,history, literature and beliefs.

- ICPIC's primary purpose is to preserve our rich cultural heritage and legacy to pass on to future generations and to foster intergroup awareness, respect, tolerance and multicultural understanding by way of public forums, workshops, classroom presentations, youth and senior citizens programs, festivals, art exhibitions, literature, and multimedia outlets. ICPIC is dedicated to the community development and revitalization of our urban neighborhoods by working with other cultural/educational/ social-economic institutions, organizations, government and agencies and community groups.

Jummah at National Constitution Center
- Our Annual Islamic Heritage Festival & Parade weekend activity begins 1:00pm Friday, with Salatul Jummah the Muslim (congregational prayer service) at the world renowned Independence National Historical Park, located at 5th and Market Streets. Independence National Historical Park is America’s most historic square mile with more than 20 landmarks open to the public. It is the Home of the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, the National Constitution Center and the new Presidents House which commemorates the lives of nine enslaved Africans who lived and worked in the nation first White House.

- The Annual Islamic Festival and Parade is a cultural and social institution in Philadelphia. The first festival and largest of it's kind in the country, It started in 1993 and have continuously been held for over 24 years.

- Community Feeding is a collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania and the American Muslim for Hunger Relief on every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month, serving over 5,000 resident living in West Philadelphia since January 2012.

- HIV testing, also called HIV screening, is the only way to know if you have the virus.
- Several types of tests check your blood or other body fluids to see whether you're infected. Most can't spot HIV right away because it takes time for your body to make antibodies or for enough of the virus to grow inside you.

- Whether you’re looking for Islamic history lectures or community related discussions on concern topics the New Africa Center provides scheduled lectures that are generally free to the community. These lectures generally take place at the Centers Lecture Hall, but in the future we will provide these lectures "Virtually" using "Zoom", which you can experience from the comfort of your own home.

- ICPIC is the premiere Islamic organization in the country. We have clearly become an institution within the African American Muslim Community. For example, ICPIC's annual community outreach programs/events and involvement in public education has afforded us recognition and awards from city, state government and community groups. Our Annual International Islamic Festival Heritage Festival & Parade at Penn''s Landing and Independence National Park is one of Philadelphia's major and largest multi-ethnic festivals series it hosts each year. It is also the largest Islamic Festival in the country attracting five to ten thousand people yearly and theGreater Philadelphia Cultural Alliance estimated it has an $850,000 impact upon the city. Families plan their vacations around the festival.

- ICPIC's New Africa Center hosts Youth Adventure Winter Break / Spring Break and Summer Camps for youth ages 6 to 13 years old. With activities of Bowling, Roller Skating, Academic Enrichment, Arts and Crafts, Computer Literacy, Field Trips, Cultural Awareness, Health & Fitness. These activities generally include a FREE LUNCH and SNACKS.
